Original “vintage” Hoppé prints for museums and collectors are available from the E.O. Hoppé estate collection and selected photographic art galleries. What Hoppé books are currently available?

E.O. Hoppé's LONDON was published in September 2006 and available from the Michael Hoppen Gallery, London. E.O. Hoppé's Amerika: Modernist Photographs from the 1920's by Phillip Prodger and E.O. Hoppé's Australia by Graham Howe and Erika Esau were published by W. W. Norton, New York in April and May, 2007, and are available at booksellers worldwide.

Where can I buy copies of Hoppé’s early books?

Editions of Hoppé’s books can be purchased from used booksellers. Buying online via eBay, Amazon.com or using book search engines such as www.alibris.com will also locate copies of Hoppé’s rare and long out-of-print books. Many of these editions are highly-prized collectibles and prices will vary considerably based on their collectibility, scarcity, and condition.

I want to reproduce a Hoppé image. Where and how do I obtain reproduction rights?

The Hoppé Estate holds all of the rights to E. O. Hoppé including his photographic and written works. Licensing for editorial or advertising use of Hoppé photographs can be obtained directly from the Hoppé Estate or from Corbis (www.procorbis.com). Any fine art use of Hoppé photographs must be obtained from the E.O. Hoppé estate.

Q: Does the E. O. Hoppé Estate offer collection internships?

Yes. The Hoppé Estate at Curatorial Assistance in Pasadena, California, needs several interns to play a crucial role in the digitizing, cataloguing and conservation of this major photographic collection. Interns will work with Curatorial Assistance staff on one or several of the following tasks; perform conservation work on selected negatives, digitize images for a pictorial database and inventory items into the collection.
